I see references to them but do not know anything about them.

Thanks

The Korath's Super Ability (Super Annhilator) adds another tech to the tech tree for Spore Modules.  This module, when placed on a ship and sent to an undefended (by ships) planet, will auto-win the ground combat, and only having aorund 10mil population on the planet as well as turning the planet to a Toxic environment (even if it was a different extreeme world type).

Quite a nasty suprise when you first learn of their advantage.

Some of the old AI's that didn't build ships (until fixed) like the Altatians, were completly wasted by this!!!

Luckily, the Korath themselves have a gaping hole in their defenses...they lack the Counter Espionage Center, so any spy defense is soley on the shoulders of their own agents.  Now, any custom race with their super ability and with a different tree....not so much the hole in defenses.

Quite a nastty suprise when you learn that your planet starts at 0.01b population as well.

I really wish you could stack a colony module and a spore module together.

Eh, small price to pay for zero population impact on creating the ships.  That and no need to fill the ship, so you could upgrade a constructor out in space and turn it into a spore ship at it's full strength.

I used to love using the Spore ships, but it destroyed the entire population and left the planet toxic and it made the population grow extremely slowly, not a good idea if you are at war and don't have strong enough fleets orbiting the planet, then you can say goodbye to that world you just took.
